Come on, it's not too late. A bit of TLC and fill in those corners and we could make the Boleyn at least 40,000 capacity....worth a try.....

I'm with Side here, loving the current relegation scrap!

Re: Fare thee well old girl
See i like either a great season like the last or a relegation scrap. It's the mid table mediocrity that gets me down, so i'm thinking not a lot has changed from the move so far and now we have the bonus of being unpopular so it brings out the 'fuck'em all' attitude to boot.

Best match seen (ie atmosphere etc) whilst in the Chicken Run?

One of my earliest great nights over there was a 3-1 win against Arsenal, just after they'd won the 1987 League Cup. What a night.

Your CLIQUE works well for you sometimes doesn't it, it's why this forum is seen as a bit jokey though.....still you mourn your three new extensions in UP.

That's as bad as when Bambi's Mum got shot... or when the boy had to shoot ol' yeller... or when King Mufasa fell into the stampeding herd of wildebeasts ... or the opening 5 mins segment of Pixars' Up

Re: Fare thee well old girl
If you can still remember it and the feeling it gave you then it hasn't gone.

I'm not nostalgic but I understand why some are finding this hard. My best memories are on the old North Bank which is long gone and many of those who are mourning the loss of the chicken run are the same people who wanted it torn down for expansion anyway.

Time to stop looking back but continue to be proud of the history.

Saw my first game from the Upper tier...I think it was the first game that the 'new' stand was open...v a Man United team with Law Charlton and Best-a 0-0 draw ,might have been 1968 ,can't remember exactly.Fond memories of the British Legion playing and the old bloke coming out to wave to the North stand to say the team were coming out..roasted chestnuts for sale on the corner by the church and the souvenir shop was under the west stand about where the old ticket office used to be...still,you can't wish for what you can't have-like it or lump it,the new stadium is our new home ,it'll take some getting used to, especially for us old buggers ho hum *kicks Coke can*

What's one stand without the others?

Come on, you lot, man up. You're not mourning anything, just soaking in the nostalgia of your own memories. It's like grieving the demise of chips wrapped in newspaper.
